Fundraising and Events
There is so much more to fundraising than just rattling a bucket. In fact, there is no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise funds!
Take part in an event or challenge
We've launched a diverse programme of exciting fundraising events for 2010. These range from a Black Tie Ball to an abseil down the side of Earls Courtl! We're confident there will be an event to suit you, so what are you waiting for? Jump out of a plane at 10,000ft, cycle to Paris, run through London dressed as Batman? The choice is yours! Check out the list here.
Join the RoP Events Team
We are looking for volunteer support at our St Albans Office to assist in marketing, recruiting and registering participants, offering them fundraising support and advice and assisting in the smooth running of events. You will work along side the Community Fundraiser to ensure these events are successful and enjoyed by all who take part.
Organise your own event
If you love the idea of fundraising, but would prefer to work from home or out of office hours you could organise an event in your own time. A successful event fundraiser could be a quiz evening at your local pub, a coffee morning at your town hall, a cake sale at a church, a sponsored event or a charity golf day etc. You will not be alone as our Community Fundraiser is just a phone call away should you need encouragement, support and advice.
Be a 'Unity Lottery Canvasser'
ReachOut Plus is a beneficiary of the Unity Lottery Programme, a charity lottery which gives those who sign up the opportunity to win up to £25,000 whilst supporting ReachOut Plus. If you are chatty, confident and enthusiastic then help us sell lottery tickets today and you can make money to! For this role ReachOut Plus will pay commission for each person or organisation or company you sign up. See vacancies for further details.
Be a 'Collection Box Distributor'
As ReachOut Plus works in the three counties and beyond- there are thousands of potential new homes for our little green collection boxes in newsagents, pubs, restaurants, shops, libraries and sports centres. If you think you could successfully distribute some of these boxes in your area (and collect them for us) we would love to hear from you! Pennies make pounds and you could significantly increase our income for the year. As a thank you we will pay you a commission based on how much money your boxes bring in. See vacancies for more details.
If you need more information or wish to support us through any of the above volunteer roles please fill out our volunteer enquiry form or call us on 0845 216 0085.

Previous experience in these areas is helpful but not essential as full training will be given. If you would like to support us and can spare anything from a few hours a week or more of your time, please do fill out our volunteer application form.
